Pavarotti’s Eggs. #WellDressing

Well Dressings are a curiously Derbyshire tradition and date back to Pagan times.  Petals, seeds, leaves, wool, coal and other natural materials are laid in complex patterns on a bed of clay and positioned by springs, fountains or taps to celebrate the gift of water.  Gail Hodgson-Walker designed Pavarotti for the Aston on Trent Well Dressing festival, to see the full spectrum of designs, visit the Derbyshire 2011 picture gallery .
